Frequently asked

How do I invite my partner?

Settings → Household → Show invite code. Send the 6-character code to your partner. They open Hubby, tap "Join household" on onboarding, and enter the code. You'll be sharing the same task list immediately.

What's the difference between Mental Load and Assigned?

Mental Load tracks who noticed a task needed doing. Whoever logged it. Assigned tracks who's tagged to do it. Most couples assume these are the same person. They almost never are. The gap between the two bars is the work no one was measuring before.

How is the weekly insight generated?

Premium users get a weekly insight card written by Anthropic's Claude. We send only counts and percentages. Never your task titles or notes. The model classifies your household state (balanced, carrying, solo-driver, etc.) and writes a short, research-grounded note about the pattern.

Is my data private?

Yes. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party SDKs. Your tasks live in Firebase Firestore, visible only to members of your household. See the full Privacy policy for details.

How do I cancel Premium?

Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Hubby → Cancel Subscription. Or open the App Store, tap your profile, then Subscriptions. Your Premium features stay active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I use Hubby with more than one partner / a roommate / a co-parent?

The current version is built for two people. We're exploring three+ household support. Let us know if that's important to you.

Does Hubby work on Android?

Not yet. iOS only at launch. If you want Android, email us. We're tracking demand.

I deleted the app and reinstalled. Where are my tasks?

If you didn't delete your account from Settings, your data is still in Firestore. But reinstalling creates a new anonymous user ID, so you'll need to rejoin your household via the invite code. Ask your partner for it. We're working on a smoother recovery flow.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your Firestore record and removes you from any households. Other members keep their copy of shared tasks. There's no undo.

The widget is showing the wrong colors / stale data.

Open the Hubby app once. Widget data refreshes when the app is launched and on a 30-minute timeline. If colors still look wrong after that, long-press the widget → Edit Widget → close, or remove and re-add the widget.
